THIS CENTENARY EVENT SHOULD NOT PASS WITHOUT REFERENCE TO DRINGHOUSES FOOTBALL CLUBS GREATEST STALWART, JOHN RICHARD LAWSON. JOHN MR DRINGHOUSES AS HE WAS AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN, EPITOMISED EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOOD ABOUT HIS BELOVED FOOTBALL CLUB AND CERTAINLY MADE A LASTING IMPRESSION ON ME. WE OWE A LARGE PART OF THE PAST 100 YEARS TO HIM AND I SINCERELY HOPE THAT OVER RECENT YEARS WE HAVE REPAID A LITTLE BIT OF DEBT.
