My sister and I visited the Jorvic Centre and spent a few windy and damp days in late February keeping a wary eye on the modern visiting Vikings.

We shared a bench by the Cathedral with an elderly chap who lived in York.

Seeing that we were a little creaky in leg he suggested that we visited St.Sampsons over 60s centre.

You will get a warm welcome, inexpensive tea and curd tart.

Clean Toilets and comfy seats to rest the weary legs. Result was happiness, and a repeat visit next day. .
