We stayed at The Shoulder of Mutton yesterday,We received excellent friendly customer service,nothing was too much trouble,Even been given a lift into town with an invite for us to ring for a lift back if they wernt too busy.

We stayed in rooms 3 & 4 lovely clean modern en suit rooms.Good quality beds and bedding nice decore (we where informed the new owner is in the process of refurbishing the hotel and a great job they are doing too)We had well cooked breakfast served by a very efficiant and fun guy,Nice homely atmospher.perfect location,close to york centre..was a bit noisey late night, in room 3 as this was above the bar but our relatives in room 4 heard nothing.This didn't spoil our stay though.We have heard a lot worse in bigger hotels, we have stayed at.I don't normally write reviews but think this Hotel & staff deserve acknowledgement for making our stay so enjoyable.We will be going back in the future. .
