"The half and half pub"
Upon visiting this pub recently for the first time in a long time i found an open mic night going on which was very enjoyable with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of people in to keep the mood going however to my dismay when venturing back in two fridays later i found that the management had cancelled this evening of music and unfortunately to the detrement of the pub. the atmosphere was none existent. I stayed for one but it felt like a different pub. When will landlords realise pubs need music now the smoking ban has pushed the smokers outside. So in conclusion i am afraid to say that i feel the Independent will now suffer through lack of commitment from the management.
